Basically, .SIG file extension represents four different file formats. Let's have a look at all of them, one by one.
The text based file format having an .SIG file extension is basically a text signature file, and is used for holding the primary information about the user who intends to use this file as an attachment with an email message. This information is called email signature, and is usually attached at the end of an email message. Using an email signature comes in handy when you wish to include some text in all your email messages, and don't wish to type the same stuff every time you send one to somebody.

I really do love FileCure because it's so easy to use - you don't have to be some kind of computer guru to get just what you need!

Plug and play? Not even close. I spent a lot of time trying to get my new, so-called 'plug and play' scanner to work. I was about ready to take it back. ParetoLogic FileCure got it working and saved me a needless trip (and gas!!) back to the store.

I have to admit I'm no computer geek. When something goes wrong, I usually have to call someone to fix it and it costs me a lot of money. When my printer wouldn't work, a friend of mine suggested I try ParetoLogic FileCure a try. I figured it was worth a shot because I was going to have to pay for a geek anyway. I was so happy when it worked... and worked properly!

I figured the graphics card my grandson gave me was broken when I couldn't get it work on my computer. It turns out that I just didn't have the right driver. ParetoLogic FileCure got it workin.

Hello FileCure folks:
I can't thank you enough for this great product. I just bought a new Vista machine and had been having all kinds of problems. First it was my screen and once I got that fixed it was the printer . Finally, my son suggested I try your product. It worked great and continues to keep my computer working. Thanks you.

I hate paying a lot of money for anything. That's why I buy mostly used computer equipment. Last week I thought I got taken when I bought a scanner. It just would not work. ParetoLogic Driver Cure got it working. With the updates, it makes sure my stuff will keep working and that I don't have to pay more money.

I work at a school so my mom thinks I am some kind of computer whiz. I have wasted so much time trying to get her stuff to work. Our IT guy suggested I try ParetoLogic FileCure. It has been a godsend and has saved me a lot of wasted hours. My mom and I can't thank you enough.

My wife bought me a new Vista system, and ever since I have had problems with some of my hardware. I saw FileCure, and decided to give it a shot. Ever since, the Vista and my hardware have been working great. Thanks!

I upgraded my system to Vista, and my printer started to act funny. No error messages, but it just wasn't working quite right. I read that drivers could sometimes be the problem. I looked online and saw FileCure. After downloading FileCure, my printer works great. You guys rock!

Usually, the email signature contains the name, designation, name of the company, telephone number and email address of the user, but it depends from person to person as to what they want to include into their email signature. You, for instance, might think of ending all your email messages with a beautiful motivational quote you read somewhere.

When the user composes an email in the email client software of his choice, he just includes the pre composed text signature from within the email client software, and the .SIG file is automatically attached to the email message by the software. Most of the email client softwares provide support to .SIG files, although Qualcomm Eudora Pro, and Microsoft Outlook are known to support the format for sure.
An error might occur while opening the .SIG signature file if:
i. The email client you are using doesn't support opening .SIG files.
ii. The data saved as the signature text within the .SIG file is not compatible with the email client you are using.
iii. If you had included some image files within the .SIG signature file, the reference files pointing to those links might have been deleted.
iv. Your .SIG signature file might have gone corrupted by a potential virus attack upon your system.
The second file format ending with a .SIG extension is an image based file, and is a proprietary file format developed by Broderbund, a software development company. Broderbund develops a number of graphic designing software solutions, such as PrintMaster and The Print Shop. These software applications save the vital data related to the signs and poster designs created by them within .SIG files, which are later used for rendering these image files.
To open a .SIG image based file, you might use PrintMaster and The Print Shop, both developed by Broderbound. Although some other graphic designing applications developed by Broderbound might be tried to open the .SIG files as well, but the success can't be completely assured.
You might encounter an error while opening a .SIG image based file if:
i. The file doesn't contain enough data to be opened successfully.
ii. You don't have, or are not using a compatible software application for opening it, some applications by Broderbound are recommended.
iii. The .SIG file you are trying to open are text-based email signature files, instead of image based files. If so, your email client application might be helpful in opening it.
iv. The version of your Broderbound application your are trying to open the .SIG file with, doesn't match with the application in which the file was created.
v. You have associated the .SIG file to be opened by some other application installed upon your system.
vi. A potential virus attack upon your system has corrupted the .SIG file.
A software application offering cryptographic privacy, known as Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) also uses the .SIG file extension for saving crucial data into a signature file, which is used for maintaining the desired amount of privacy and authentication within a system or resource.
Apart from it, an anti-virus software application, known as Panda Antivirus Pro also uses the .SIG file extension for saving some of its important system files. These files are used by the application for combating the potential virus attacks, and grabbing new virus definitions from the updates.
